The Vetus P104902 is a hydraulic Maxwell RC12-10 Winch with a 90TDC CW Chainwheel, designed for marine applications. Ideal for 10mm or 3/8" chain and 16mm to 20mm (5/8" to 3/4") Nylon rope, this top-range vertical RC Series Windlass effortlessly retrieves and deploys anchor rode. Crafted from durable stainless steel AISI 316, it features innovative elements such as a patented Wave Design™ chainwheel, a cone-type brake/clutch mechanism for 'Free Fall' anchoring, and Maxwell's "Active Latch Ratchet System" for emergency manual retrieval without backwind. The black hard anodized gearbox offers fast installation, corrosion resistance, and easy maintenance. It comes with top works motor/gearbox and dual-direction solenoid, with switches and circuit breakers available separately. For specific needs, an option with extra deck clearance is also offered. Note the importance of using a chain stopper or alternative snubbing device for load distribution while at anchor, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

The Vetus P104902 is a hydraulic Maxwell RC12-10 Winch with a 90TDC CW Chainwheel, suitable for 10mm or 3/8" chain and 16mm to 20mm (5/8" to 3/4") Nylon rope. Representing Maxwell's top-range version of the vertical RC Series Windlass, the RC12-10 is designed for effortless retrieval and deployment of 10mm short link chain and 16 - 20mm three-strand or 8-Plait rope. Crafted from stainless steel AISI 316, it offers durability and corrosion resistance.
The RC12-10 features innovative design elements, including a sleek Low Profile version and a fluted stainless steel capstan drum. The patented Wave Design™ chainwheel enhances performance, while the cone-type brake/clutch mechanism permits 'Free Fall' anchoring. Emergency manual retrieval is facilitated by Maxwell's "Active Latch Ratchet System," preventing backwind during hauling. The black hard anodized gearbox offers advantages such as fast installation, corrosion resistance, and easy maintenance.
Important considerations include the need for a chain stopper or alternative snubbing device for load distribution while at anchor.
