Clamcleat CL258 Racing Fine Line Starboard Cleats for 3–6 mm Rope, Silver or Hard Anodised, with Optional Backplate / Rivets
Clamcleat CL258 Racing Fine Line is a low-profile aluminium cleat designed for ropes from 3 to 6 mm (1/8–1/4") and applications where compact size and secure rope holding are required.
The tooth design provides quick, positive rope locking while allowing smooth release. The cleat can be mounted in two positions and can also be sewn or riveted onto sails or technical fabrics.
CL258 is commonly used for leech line adjustment on larger sails and can also be used as a low-profile deck cleat on dinghies or in industrial blind systems. When riveting to fabric, a backplate is recommended to help prevent rivet pull-through.
The range is available with either a silver stove-enamel finish or a hard-anodised finish. Selected variants are supplied with a matching backplate or with both backplate and rivets for complete installation.

- Use a backplate when riveting to fabric to help prevent rivet pull-through.
- Avoid direct contact between aluminium cleats and carbon fibre sails unless suitable isolation is used to help prevent corrosion.
