Optiparts EX2182 is a high-performance aluminium cam cleat designed for Laser® and ILCA® dinghies, offering secure rope holding and smooth release for a wide range of control line applications.
The cleat features ball bearing cams with a hard anodised finish and PTFE coating, significantly reducing friction and wear while improving responsiveness during frequent trimming adjustments. Compared to carbon composite (plastic) cam cleats, aluminium cams provide superior durability and extended service life under intensive use.
Designed to accommodate lines up to 12 mm diameter, the EX2182 delivers strong holding power with controlled release, making it suitable for various high-load control systems on dinghies.
