The Optiparts EX1048 Silver Regatta Mast Set is a complete spar solution designed for Optimist sailors starting competitive racing. Compared to the stiffer BLACKGOLD range, this set offers increased flexibility, making it more suitable for lightweight sailors seeking better control and responsiveness.
The set includes a Silver regatta mast (EX1005), a 40 mm boom (EX1022), and a 27 mm sprit (EX1041), all constructed from high-quality aluminium tubing. The 40 mm boom is significantly stiffer than standard 32 mm school booms, allowing increased leech tension and improved sail shape control.
The sprit features 15 cm anti-chafe protection tubing to reduce wear between mast and sprit, extending the lifespan of both spar and sail components.
The mast set is supplied with a comprehensive rigging package, including halyard and control lines, ensuring quick setup and full compatibility straight out of the box.
