Optiparts EX1052 – Optimist Sleeve Mast Set for Sleeve Sail Systems
The Optiparts EX1052 sleeve mast set is designed for Optimist rigs using sleeve sails, where the mast is inserted directly into the sail pocket. This configuration eliminates the need for traditional sail ties, simplifying rigging and reducing setup time.
The set includes the sleeve mast (EX1012), a 40 mm school boom (EX1020), and a 25 mm school sprit (EX1040), all manufactured from aluminium for durability and low weight.
The mast is fitted with a stainless steel halyard block and aluminium Clamcleats for halyard and vang control. It does not include stainless steel eyes for sail head attachment, as the sleeve system secures the sail differently.
The boom is equipped with nylon fittings and cleats, while the sprit has a simple construction without chafe protection tubing.
This set is compatible with the Optiparts sleeve sail EX1061 and can be used with an optional mast extender (EX10122) to increase headspace by raising the sail and boom.
