Optiparts EX1012 – Optimist Sleeve School Mast for Sleeve Sails
The Optiparts EX1012 sleeve school mast is specifically designed for use with Optimist sleeve sails, where the mast is inserted directly into a sleeve pocket within the sail. This system eliminates the need for traditional sail ties on both mast and boom, simplifying rigging and reducing setup time.
The mast is constructed from aluminium and fitted with a stainless steel halyard block along with aluminium Clamcleats for halyard and vang control. Unlike standard school masts, it does not include a pin stop or stainless steel eyes for sail head attachment, as these are not required in sleeve sail configurations.
The loose-footed sail design combined with the sleeve system provides a clean and efficient rig setup, making it ideal for sailing schools and beginner training.
Optional mast extenders are available in 10 cm, 20 cm, and 40 cm lengths. The 10 cm and 20 cm extenders raise the sail and boom to create additional space, while the 40 cm extender is intended for use with the Optiparts Trisail and is not compatible with standard sleeve sails.
