Tecnoseal 6J8-11325-00 Yamaha 20–250 HP Outboard Crankcase Cylinder Anode
The Tecnoseal 01150 series consists of small sacrificial internal engine anodes designed for Yamaha 20–250 HP outboard motors. Corresponding to Yamaha OEM part number 6J8-11325-00, these replacement anodes are intended for crankcase and cylinder applications, helping protect metallic engine components against galvanic corrosion.
Each anode features an elongated tapered metal body extending from a circular mounting head. The head includes a square-profile opening, while the tapered section forms the sacrificial portion of the component. This compact configuration distinguishes the anode from conventional cylindrical pencil anodes and external trim tab anodes.
The sacrificial zinc or magnesium material gradually corrodes during service, helping reduce galvanic corrosion of surrounding protected metallic engine components. These anodes are replaceable maintenance parts and should be inspected according to the Yamaha engine manufacturer's service recommendations.
According to the Tecnoseal catalogue, the anode measures 41 mm (1.61 in) in overall length (l) and 13 mm (0.51 in) in height (h). The mounting head has an outside diameter (Ø) of 16.5 mm (0.65 in), while the end diameter (Ø1) is 8 mm (0.31 in). Additional mounting-profile dimensions are 4 mm (0.16 in) for a and 2 mm (0.08 in) for b. Both material versions have identical dimensions.
Two versions are available. The zinc version, Tecnoseal 01150, weighs 0.02 kg (0.04 lbs). The magnesium version, Tecnoseal 01150MG, weighs 0.004 kg (0.01 lbs). The appropriate sacrificial anode material should be selected according to the engine manufacturer's requirements and the vessel's operating water conditions.
The same anode design is also listed under Tecnoseal catalogue reference 00831. This additional reference can assist in identifying the corresponding replacement component when comparing catalogue listings or existing engine anodes.
