This tachometer has a diameter of 80 mm (3 1/8 inches) and an outside diameter of 85 mm (3 1/3 inches). The installation depth is 91 mm. It can be locked in place with a Spinlock nut at a height of 0.5 mm to 23 mm, or with a bracket at a height of 0.5 mm to 12 mm. There is no flushmount option available.

The tachometer has an analog measurement range of 0 to 3,000 RPM and uses the alternator terminal (W) or ignition terminal (1) for the sensor signal. The accuracy is not specified by VDO. It can be connected with an 8-pole AMP male blade connector (6.3 x 0.8 mm) and the illumination can be connected with a 4x AMP male blade connector (6.3 x 0.8 mm).
