Osculati DIN 7982 / UNI 6955 self-tapping screws are manufactured from AISI 316 stainless steel and feature a flat countersunk head with a cross-recessed drive. Osculati AISI 316 Stainless Steel Countersunk Self-Tapping Screws DIN 7982 / UNI 6955

Osculati countersunk self-tapping screws are manufactured from AISI 316 stainless steel and feature a cross-recessed drive. Listed according to DIN 7982 and UNI 6955, these screws are designed for fastening compatible panels, fittings and mechanical components where a flush mounting surface is required.

The flat countersunk head has a tapered underside that fits into a suitably prepared countersunk hole. Once installed correctly, the screw head can sit flush with the surrounding surface. This distinguishes DIN 7982 screws from DIN 7981 pan head screws, whose heads remain above the mounting surface.

The self-tapping thread is designed to form a mating thread in compatible materials during installation. Depending on the substrate, material thickness and fastening requirements, a correctly sized pilot hole may be necessary. The cross-recessed drive allows installation using a matching screwdriver or driver bit.

AISI 316 stainless steel provides corrosion resistance for suitable marine, outdoor and general maintenance applications. The selected screw size and installation conditions should be appropriate for the materials being fastened.
