DIN 914 A2 Stainless Steel Hex Socket Set Screws with Cone Point M2–M10, 3–40 mm
DIN 914 hex socket set screws are manufactured from A2 stainless steel and designed for securing components in threaded mechanical assemblies. They feature a headless cylindrical body, an internal hexagonal drive and a cone-shaped point for concentrated contact with the mating component.
The cone point is designed to engage the contact surface and help prevent relative movement between assembled parts. These screws are commonly used for positioning and retaining components such as shaft collars, hubs and other mechanical fittings. The pointed end may leave an indentation on the contact surface, so suitability should be considered for the intended application.
The internal hexagonal socket allows installation and adjustment using a matching Allen key or hex driver. A2 stainless steel provides corrosion resistance for general indoor and outdoor applications where this material grade is suitable.
The range includes 29 dimensional configurations across seven nominal metric thread sizes: M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, M8 and M10. Available lengths range from 3 to 40 mm, depending on the selected thread size. Each version has an individual FNI part number.
