The MgDuff MGDA Aluminium Propeller Shaft Anode is a ring-shaped sacrificial anode designed to protect marine propeller shafts against corrosion. Manufactured from aluminium and equipped with a steel core, it is suitable for use in brackish and saltwater environments.

The steel core prevents the anode from becoming loose around the propeller shaft. The range includes six versions for shaft diameters from 25 to 50 mm, with different body lengths and external diameters to accommodate the required shaft size.

Construction and Design

The MgDuff shaft anode features an aluminium body with an integrated steel core. The core is designed to prevent the anode from becoming loose around the shaft, helping maintain its position during use.

The 25 and 30 mm versions share the same external dimensions of 65 × 56 mm. The 35 and 40 mm versions measure 78 × 69 mm, while the 45 and 50 mm versions measure 100 × 85 mm. Each variant has a different shaft diameter.

Corrosion Protection and Water Compatibility

The aluminium anode acts as a sacrificial component, corroding preferentially to help protect the propeller shaft against corrosion.

The MgDuff MGDA shaft anodes are suitable for use in the following water environments:
