The Lewmar VX Capstan combines the proven engineering of the VX1L windlass series with a dedicated capstan design for line handling applications. Its compact vertical configuration maximizes available below-deck space while providing dependable performance for docking, mooring and onboard rope handling.
Powered by a 12 V / 800 W in-line motor with an epicyclic gearbox, the VX Capstan features a stainless steel and composite construction, IP67-rated motor housing and a manual clutch release. The complete kit includes the deck unit, motor/gearbox, solenoid and contactor for straightforward installation.
Designed for boats from 8 to 14 metres, the VX Capstan delivers smooth, reliable operation with a powerful pulling capacity while requiring only a single operator during installation thanks to its patented top-deck mounting system.
