Overview
The KS-31 is a reduced-size high performance VHF antenna from the Titan Series. It combines robustness and performance comparable to 8′ antennas in a compact 4′ (1.2 m) design. Built for AIS frequency optimization to improve target and vessel detection in marine environments.
The antenna is constructed with a solid 2 mm thick fiberglass body and an electropolished AISI 316 stainless steel ferrule with an exclusive conical design. It is specifically tuned to the AIS frequency range (161.975–162.025 MHz) for maximum reception performance.
It is supplied with a 6 m (20′) low-loss RG-58 coaxial cable with a pre-installed FME female connector for quick installation without soldering. An FME male / PL male adaptor is also included. The cable can be routed through the ferrule side opening or bottom exit depending on mounting configuration, and a closing cap is included to seal the side hole when not used.
Internal construction uses solid brass and copper elements combined with Scout foam injection technology, achieving IP69 water resistance. The antenna is finished with a high gloss anti-UV coating for durability in marine conditions.
