The Vetus SAPRO24 sani-processor enables the installation of regular domestic toilets on larger boats by providing efficient onboard maceration and pumping of waste. Owners of larger vessels often prefer high-quality sanitary ware similar to that used at home, and this unit makes such installations possible. The processor connects to a standard toilet using a 102 mm diameter hose with a minimum fall of 50 mm per metre. When flushed, the system collects the waste, macerates it, and pumps the processed slurry either into a holding tank or directly overboard via a 19 mm diameter hose. The entire process takes between 10 and 30 seconds and operates with very low noise. For service access, the inspection lid can be removed to clear any blockage. All hoses used must be fully odour-tight for correct operation.
