The Vetus SAPRO12 sani-processor is engineered to allow standard domestic toilets to be installed on larger boats by providing onboard waste maceration and pumping capabilities. The system connects easily to a regular household toilet using a 102 mm diameter hose with a minimum fall of 50 mm per metre. When the toilet is flushed, the unit collects the waste, macerates it, and pumps the slurry either to a holding tank or directly overboard through a 19 mm discharge hose. The complete cycle takes between 10 and 30 seconds and operates with very low noise. For maintenance, the processor includes an accessible inspection lid, allowing straightforward cleaning in case of blockage. All connection hoses must be odour-tight for proper installation.
