The Vetus BOWA0421 bow thruster delivers high levels of precision for smooth and confident maneuvering. Supporting vessels 26 to 37 ft (8–11.5 m), it enables accurate vessel positioning in ports, narrow waterways and during docking. The fully proportional thrust control provides smooth thrust transition, while the lock-and-hold function maintains a selected thrust level automatically.
The brushless induction motor ensures quiet and maintenance-free operation with reliable performance. The integrated MCV motor controller optimizes thrust delivery and communicates via V-CAN CANBUS for seamless system integration. Thermal and low-voltage protections are built in for enhanced safety and operational reliability.
Designed as a retrofit-compatible solution, it matches established tunnel dimensions used by Vetus and other manufacturers, simplifying installation when upgrading an existing thruster.
