The Jabsco 6400-0004 is a full cam, standard shaft engine cooling pump designed around a flexible impeller to support dependable circulation and transfer duties. Its bronze pump body and flexible impeller design are aimed at efficient performance across a wide range of liquids, including thin and viscous fluids and liquids with suspended solids.

- Bidirectional pumping: Pumps in either direction with equal efficiency.
- Flexible installation: Can be mounted at any angle and may be mounted in any position.
- Port orientation: The rotation of the pump shaft determines the intake and discharge port locations; the pump is normally assembled at the factory for clockwise rotation.
- Lubrication requirement: This unit depends on the liquid being pumped for lubrication.
- Dry-run limit: Do not run dry for more than 30 seconds to avoid impeller and component damage.
- Self-priming note: Suction lines must be airtight or the pump will not self-prime.
- Fluid note: The Neoprene impeller is suitable for water and general-purpose pumping; if there is any oil in the water, a nitrile impeller is recommended (see parts list).
