Optiparts EX2132 is a replacement mast-mounted vang bracket designed for Laser® and ILCA® dinghies. Installed on the lower mast section, this stainless steel fitting provides the primary attachment point for the lower boom vang block within the kicking strap / vang system.
The bracket is riveted directly onto the mast and is engineered to withstand repeated high vang loads generated during sail trim adjustments. Its robust stainless steel construction offers excellent corrosion resistance and long service life in marine environments.
This fitting is essential for maintaining correct vang geometry, ensuring efficient load transfer from boom to mast, and preserving proper sail shape control under varying wind conditions.
