Optiparts EX2138A is a replacement aluminium eyelet fairlead designed for Laser® and ILCA® dinghies, used in outhaul and traveler control systems to provide smooth and reliable rope guidance through rigging pathways.
Compared with plastic alternatives, the aluminium construction offers increased mechanical strength, improved abrasion resistance, and longer service life under heavy rope use and repeated trimming cycles. This makes it particularly suitable for intensive sailing environments, training fleets, and frequently adjusted racing control systems.
The smooth internal bore minimizes rope friction and helps prevent premature line wear while maintaining efficient and accurate rope routing for sail trim adjustments.
