Optiparts EX2005 is an advanced clew strap system developed for Laser® and ILCA® dinghies, engineered to provide a secure and dependable clew attachment for efficient sail trimming. Its specialized Velcro closure design creates an exceptionally strong grip that resists slipping even under high outhaul loads.
One end of the strap is fitted with loop Velcro on both sides, which is sandwiched between hook Velcro surfaces to maximize contact area and locking strength. This design creates a stable and secure clew tie-down system that remains reliable during demanding racing and training conditions.
The EX2005 can be used together with a clew hook, either with or without a ball bearing block, allowing flexible rigging configurations for different sail tuning preferences. It provides a quick, easy, and highly dependable solution for clew rigging upgrades or replacements.
