Optiparts EX1480 - Mast Rake Measuring Tape – 3 m / 10 ft Optimist Mast Rake Gauge
Optiparts EX1480 is a specialized measuring tool developed for precise Optimist mast rake adjustment, allowing sailors and coaches to set mast position quickly and consistently before sailing sessions, tuning checks, or regatta starts.
The tape is equipped with a special hook designed to fit securely at the top-aft section of the mast, enabling direct measurement from masthead reference point to deck edge. This ensures fast and repeatable mast rake readings without complicated setup procedures.
The measuring blade displays both metric (centimeters) and imperial (inches) units, making it suitable for international racing environments and diverse tuning references. The 3 meter / 10 foot blade length provides sufficient range for full mast rake measurement on Optimist rigs.
For practical onboard and shore handling, the EX1480 includes a belt clip, wrist strap, and rubber thumb lock for secure operation. Its ABS and rubber protective case offers durability in marine sailing environments.
