Tecnoseal Box Cooler sacrificial anode rods are designed to provide galvanic corrosion protection for compatible marine box cooler and heat exchanger installations. The rods are supplied complete with mounting plugs and are available in zinc and aluminium configurations.

The range includes two models with different rod dimensions, materials and threaded connections. The Tecnoseal 00601-4T features a zinc rod with a brass plug, while the 00602-6ALT uses an aluminium rod with a steel plug.

The zinc version measures 211 mm in length and 25 mm in diameter, with a 1" GAS (BSPP) threaded connection. The longer aluminium version measures 600 mm in length and 20 mm in diameter, with a 3/4" GAS conical (BSPT) connection.

Both models provide a sacrificial metal element connected to a mounting plug, allowing installation in compatible cooling equipment. Select the required version according to the original component, anode material, rod dimensions and mounting thread.

The Tecnoseal 00601-4T is a zinc sacrificial anode rod designed for compatible marine box cooler installations. It features a cylindrical zinc body measuring 211 mm (8.31 in) in length and 25 mm (0.98 in) in diameter.

The rod is supplied with a brass mounting plug featuring a 1" GAS (BSPP) threaded connection. The plug dimension identified as c measures 19 mm (0.75 in).

Tecnoseal 00602-6ALT – Aluminium Box Cooler Anode Rod with Steel Plug

The Tecnoseal 00602-6ALT is a long aluminium sacrificial anode rod for compatible marine box cooler installations. It measures 600 mm (23.62 in) in length and 20 mm (0.79 in) in diameter.

Unlike the zinc 00601-4T model, this version is fitted with a steel plug featuring a 3/4" GAS conical (BSPT) threaded connection. The plug dimension identified as c measures 17 mm.

The complete aluminium rod and steel plug assembly weighs 0.56 kg (1.23 lbs). Its longer, narrower construction provides an alternative configuration for cooling systems requiring these specific dimensions and mounting connections.

Mounting Plugs and Threaded Connections

Both anode rods are supplied complete with plugs, but their materials and connection types differ.

• 00601-4T: Zinc anode with brass plug and 1" GAS (BSPP) connection.
• 00602-6ALT: Aluminium anode with steel plug and 3/4" GAS conical (BSPT) connection.

BSPP parallel threads and BSPT tapered threads have different mounting configurations and should not be treated as interchangeable without checking the original equipment requirements.

Model Selection

Select the correct Tecnoseal Box Cooler anode rod by matching the original component's anode material, rod length, diameter and mounting connection.

The 00601-4T offers a shorter and wider zinc rod, while the 00602-6ALT features a considerably longer aluminium rod with a smaller diameter. Their mounting plugs also differ in material and thread specification.

Confirm the required anode material and threaded port configuration before ordering. Rod dimensions alone are not sufficient to establish compatibility.
