Vetus V-Quipment Aluminium Bolt-On Hull Anodes – Type 15, 25 & 35
The Vetus V-Quipment aluminium bolt-on hull anodes provide sacrificial cathodic protection for underwater metal components. They are manufactured from an aluminium-indium-zinc alloy to MIL-A-24779 (SH) specification and are intended primarily for vessels operating in fresh water.
The range includes Type 15, Type 25 and Type 35 versions with different dimensions, weights and protection capacities. Each anode uses a two-point bolt-on mounting arrangement and can be replaced without welding the anode body directly to the hull.

Mounting Dimensions
- ALU15C: 150 mm overall length, 70 mm width, 25 mm height, 74 mm mounting-centre distance
- ALU25C: 250 mm overall length, 75 mm width, 30 mm height, 140 mm mounting-centre distance
- ALU35C: 300 mm overall length, 80 mm width, 35 mm height, 200 mm mounting-centre distance
Installation
The anodes require direct electrical contact with the metal components being protected. For steel hulls, the Vetus ZKITS connection set is used. For GRP, fibreglass and wooden hull installations, the Vetus ZKITP through-hull connection set is used, with a wire connection to the metal components requiring protection.
Types 15, 25 and 35 require two connection kits per anode. The mounting side of the anode has a protective paint layer to help prevent damage to the hull coating.
