The Vetus XHI24W is a dashboard-mounted exhaust temperature alarm instrument designed for water-injected marine exhaust systems. It provides both visual and audible warnings when the temperature inside the exhaust hose, waterlock, or muffler increases beyond acceptable limits, including exceedance of 75°C. Because exhaust temperature rises far more rapidly than engine temperature in cases of restricted cooling water flow, this alarm system is an essential safeguard against blockages in the cooling water intake or pump impeller failure.
