The Vetus MV125 Exhaust Muffler (Art. MV125) is a 37-litre, corrosion-free synthetic muffler engineered for Ø125 mm water-injected exhaust systems on fast craft with powerful engines. It delivers substantial exhaust noise reduction with minimal back pressure and includes a built-in check valve to prevent seawater flow toward the engine. Measuring 910 × 320 × 320 mm, the unit is supplied with stainless steel (AISI 316) mounting brackets and can be paired with optional raw-water temperature sensing.

Vetus MV125 Exhaust Muffler for Ø125 mm Marine Exhaust Systems
The Vetus MV125 muffler is specifically developed for fast craft equipped with powerful engines and operating with water-injected exhaust systems. Its 37-litre capacity ensures a significant reduction in exhaust noise, while the internal flow design maintains exceptionally low back pressure. Constructed entirely from lightweight, corrosion-free synthetic materials, it offers long service life in harsh marine environments. An integrated check valve prevents seawater from flowing toward the engine, eliminating the need for a traditional gooseneck and ensuring secure operation even in rough conditions or during reverse manoeuvring.
Main Features
- Designed exclusively for water-injected exhaust systems.
- Ideally suited for fast craft with powerful engines.
- Large 37-litre capacity for efficient noise reduction.
- Minimal back pressure for optimal engine performance.
- Lightweight, corrosion-free synthetic construction.
- Integrated check valve to prevent seawater intrusion.
- Stainless steel (AISI 316) mounting brackets included as standard.
- Optional temperature sensor for raw-water alarm available.
- Transom connections offered in stainless steel or reinforced black plastic, both equipped with check valves.
- Suitable for installations with limited space where a waterlock or gooseneck cannot be fitted.

Installation Notes
- The transom connection must be installed at least 5 cm lower than the outlet of the engine’s exhaust manifold to ensure proper seawater flow direction.
- Integrated check valves (“flappers”) prevent seawater from moving toward the engine, even in waves or during astern manoeuvres.
- No gooseneck is required due to the internal check valve system.
- Suitable for applications where space is limited and a conventional waterlock cannot be installed.
