The Vetus MV100 Exhaust Muffler (Art. MV100) is a compact 11.5-litre noise-reducing unit designed for Ø100 mm water-injected exhaust systems on fast craft with powerful engines. Built from lightweight, corrosion-free synthetic materials, it delivers minimal back pressure and incorporates a check valve to prevent seawater intrusion. Measuring 702 × 210 × 210 mm and supplied with stainless steel (AISI 316) mounting brackets, it provides a secure, low-maintenance solution where conventional waterlocks or goosenecks cannot be installed. An optional raw-water temperature sensor is available.

The Vetus MV100 muffler is engineered specifically for fast craft equipped with powerful engines and operating exclusively with water-injected exhaust systems. Its compact 11.5-litre design ensures a substantial reduction in exhaust noise while keeping back pressure exceptionally low. All components are produced from corrosion-free synthetic materials, making the system lightweight, durable, and suitable for long-term marine environments. A built-in check valve prevents seawater from flowing toward the engine, eliminating the need for a conventional gooseneck and ensuring safe operation even in rough conditions or during reverse manoeuvres.

Installation Notes
- The muffler and transom connection must be installed with the transom fitting at least 5 cm lower than the engine’s exhaust manifold outlet to ensure seawater always flows away from the engine.
- Both the muffler and the transom connection are equipped with check valves (“flappers”) to prevent seawater from moving toward the engine, even in waves or during astern manoeuvring.
- No gooseneck is required due to the integrated check valve system.
