Vetus M329A612A - Mitsubishi M3.29 with TMC60A i=2.0
Technical data: 27.2HP / 20KW at 3,600 rpm 3-cylinder, 952cm³ 2-circuit cooling, 12V electric system, MP22BS12 panel Gearbox: Technodrive TMC60E, angled outlet Reduction: 2.0
The engines of the M-Line impress with their smooth running, low fuel consumption and reliability. In addition, they are self-priming, which is a great advantage and saves time after a fuel filter change, for example. All engines are equipped with a powerful alternator to quickly recharge the batteries. A second alternator can be installed as an option on all M4 models, and much more...!
INNOVATION
Low engine compartment temperature Due to the heat dissipation of the machine, the engine compartment temperature can quickly rise to 70°C climb. However, a high engine compartment temperature can have a negative impact on the performance of the engine and other installed parts. Therefore, Vetus has developed an elegant yet efficient solution by using a water-cooled aluminum engine cover. Mounted directly above the cylinder head, this superbly sized cooling element absorbs radiant heat from the engine. This innovative concept leads to a significant reduction in engine compartment temperature of up to 15°C, i.e. approx. 20%. The cooler ambient temperature in turn ensures cooler intake air, which leads to better combustion and lower consumption. To our knowledge, no other ship engine manufacturer uses such an additional cooling element to lower the ambient temperature. A truly unique solution from Vetus!
Reduction of Engine Noise
Most people boat to enjoy the peace and quiet on the water. Vetus does its part by developing drive systems that are as quiet as possible. The robust aluminum lid also significantly reduces engine noise. Tests have shown that in combination with the redesigned air filter housing, the noise level is reduced by 5dB(A), and the engine works almost noiselessly when cruising at 2200 rpm. Everyone involved in the tests was enthusiastic and described the engine acoustics as very pleasant to the ear.
Features
- High maintenance parts and areas such as fuses and relays (A), fuel filter and connectors (B), impeller (C), oil dipstick (D), and oil filter (E) are easily accessible. All M4 engines have the impeller on the front
- Wiring and connections are routed for easy access
- All M-Line engines are equipped with an electric fuel pump (F) that is linked to the operation of the starting key
- A new air filter housing dampens the air flow and lowers the intake noise level (G)
- The heat exchanger has no less than 26 improvements over previous versions, including better materials used and optimized surface treatment
- The plastic front cover improves security and appearance. All rollers and belts are covered, according to the EU Machinery Directive
- Front mounted oil and fuel filters and an additional bracket are optionally available to make maintenance work even easier (H)
- When higher loading capacity is required, all M4 engines can be equipped with a second alternator on request (when using a second alternator, the front cover is omitted)
- All M4 engines are available with the Vetus Power Pack as well as with hydraulic application
- Vetus also offers for all M-Line engines have an adapter for Volvo Penta Saildrives (110S/120S and 120SB)
- An oil scavenge pump is already installed on all M-Line engines, thus ensuring easy maintenance
- The Aluminum engine cover also makes an excellent step, allowing better access to the engine room
All these benefits are achieved without sacrificing other features. With a power output of 12 hp – 52 hp, the Vetus M line is the preferred choice of many boat builders. Do you need more reasons to choose a Vetus engine? When choosing a Vetus engine, customers can expect not only the best possible service, but also high quality and professional advice. All M-Line engines meet the exhaust gas standards according to RCD2 and some also the BSOII specifications.
