The Optiparts EX970 Blackgold Lite mast set is a premium racing rig designed to deliver optimal performance for lightweight Optimist sailors. Built around the advanced BLACKGOLD™ system, it combines high flexibility, reduced weight, and top-grade materials for precise sail control in all conditions.
The set includes the Blackgold Lite mast (EX902), Blackgold Medium 40 mm boom (EX940), and Blackgold Lite 26.6 mm sprit (EX959). All components are manufactured from aerospace-grade 7075 T6 aluminium with black hard anodized finish, ensuring exceptional strength and durability.
The 26.6 mm Lite sprit offers approximately 15% lower weight and 20% increased flexibility compared to the standard 27 mm Medium sprit, improving responsiveness and handling for lighter sailors.
The mast set is supplied with a complete high-performance rigging package, including zero-stretch Vectran lines, Dyneema halyards, and premium Harken ball bearing blocks.
