Optiparts EX2144 is a classic replacement vang block assembly with integrated jammer, specifically designed for Laser® and ILCA® dinghies as part of the kicking strap (vang) control system.
This multifunctional unit combines dual sheave line guidance with a built-in jammer cleating mechanism, allowing sailors to adjust and lock vang tension quickly and securely while maintaining smooth rope movement through the block system.
The dual sheave arrangement includes 20 mm and 40 mm sheaves, optimized for efficient load transfer and reduced friction under repeated trimming loads. The integrated jammer provides dependable rope locking, enabling precise sail shape control without additional cleating hardware.
Compatible with control lines up to 6 mm diameter, the EX2144 is ideal for replacing worn or damaged original vang assemblies in regular rig maintenance, fleet servicing, and club dinghy repairs.
