Optiparts EX1450P - Optimist Padded Hiking Straps PRO – 7 cm Non-Slip Performance Hiking Strap Set
Optiparts EX1450P is the PRO performance version of the Optiparts Optimist padded hiking straps, engineered for top-level sailors who demand superior grip, enhanced stability, and longer hiking comfort during racing. The upgraded design includes a new rubber non-slip underside layer that improves foot traction and increases control over the boat in demanding sailing conditions.
The straps are manufactured from strong polyester webbing and fully covered with highly wear-resistant UV-resistant cloth for long-lasting durability. Inside, the thicker extra-stiff foam core provides improved structural support while remaining water-resistant and non-absorbing, helping maintain consistent performance in wet environments.
The reinforced stitched-through construction ensures strength under repeated load, while the aft end includes a pressed ring and flat sewn finish to prevent twisting. Tapered end points improve ergonomic fit and mounting alignment.
Compared with the standard EX1450 version, the PRO model offers greater support and grip, with the trade-off of slightly increased weight and cost.
