Built for demanding marine use, it combines a solid bronze pump head, ball bearings, ignition-protected design for bilge compartment installation, and built-in thermal overheat protection with automatic reset. Run-dry protection monitors current draw and shuts the pump down to help prevent impeller damage, while the 1 1/2 in external NPTF connection supports high-volume plumbing with a minimum 1 1/2 in (Ø38 mm) hose, backed by ISO 8846 and SAE J1171 compliance and IP54 protection.
