Product Details
The impeller used with Johnson Pump 09-820B or 08-820B has a thread on one end of the hub. The puller’s hollow nut screws into this thread; by tightening the T-handle screw, the impeller is pushed out so it can be pulled more easily. If needed, lubricate the impeller with impeller lubricant beforehand.
The impeller is critical for safety because its job is to pump water through the engine cooling system. It is recommended that the impeller be replaced every year, and that only original SPX FLOW Johnson Pump Marine brand impellers are used to ensure optimal fit to your pump. The impeller can be pulled from the pump housing using water pump pliers or this dedicated puller.
