The Yacht Devices YDES-04 J1708 Engine Gateway is designed to integrate engines with a J1708 serial interface into an NMEA 2000 marine digital network. This gateway allows you to monitor engine parameters such as revolutions, temperature, working hours, fuel rate, and more on chart plotters and other NMEA 2000 display devices.

Supported Protocols

• J1587 Standard: Used by many manufacturers including Caterpillar engines with ATA Data Link (e.g., 3176B, 3412C, 3408C models).
• Volvo Penta Proprietary Protocol: Used in engines with EDC I (e.g., KAD 44, KAD 300, TAMD 73..75) and EDC II (e.g., D12C-A MP).
• Cummins KCM-II Proprietary Protocol: Used in engines like KTA19 and KTA38.
