Type:
- NMEA 2000 Micro Male
- SeaTalk NG Connector
It transmits the measured voltage and current, the calculated charge level and battery state, and static data programmed by the user (for example, rated capacity and chemical type), and can turn on the generator or issue a warning.

The device can be used with any DC source (motor generator, wind generator, etc.) or load (winch, refrigerator), but is designed mainly for monitoring accumulator batteries. For operation, the device requires an appropriate external shunt (not supplied with the kit). The device can use data from an external NMEA 2000 thermometer connected to the battery to determine the charge level and state of the battery more accurately, and transmit this data along with the current and voltage. You can configure the device and update the firmware from a microSD card or via NMEA 2000. Battery Monitor can manage the channels of digital load switching or alerting devices managed by standard NMEA 2000 PGN 127501/127502. For example, you can configure it to emit a voice or sound warning about a low battery charge using the Alarm Button or turn on the generator for charging with Circuit Control.
Electrical Specifications:
- Rated external shunt current: 5.. 2500 A;
- Shunt voltage drop (recommended): 75 mV;
- Current measurement accuracy (see below): ±0.5%;
- Maximum voltage at inputs (rel. lands): 40 B;
- Voltage measurement accuracy: 0.1 B;
- Breakdown voltage between NMEA 2000 and inputs: 2500 VRMS.
Note: not taking into account the accuracy of the shunt (usually from ±0.25% to ±0.5%,) and the temperature drift ±20.. 25 ppm/° C. Supply voltage (from NMEA 2000): 7.. 16 V. Current consumption (from NMEA 2000), average: 50 mA.
