Vetus ZINK35C Zinc Hull Anode Type 35 Rectangular
The Vetus ZINK35C is a heavy-duty hull anode manufactured from high-grade zinc in accordance with MIL-A-18001K specifications. Zinc anodes are recommended for vessels operating in salt water or brackish water and are essential for cathodic protection of all underwater metal components. Type 35 features a rectangular contour and increased mass, providing extended protection for steel, aluminium, fibreglass, and wooden hulls when correctly installed.
Cathodic protection by means of sacrificial anodes is mandatory to prevent corrosion of underwater metal parts. All Vetus zinc anodes are streamlined and mounted using specially designed studs or through-hull bolts, supplied separately. The mounting surface of each anode is protected with a paint layer to prevent damage to the vessel’s finish. This anode is supplied excluding the connection kits; Type 35 requires two connection kits for proper installation.
