- Mounting: Designed to mount directly inside the crank-shaft pulley; includes a rotating bearing housing bolted directly to the crankshaft pulley.
- Installation note: Because the pump body is supported by the ball bearing only, it must be prevented from rotating by a torque arm designed and installed to avoid side load on the bearing.
- Priming and transfer capability: Combines the priming feature of positive displacement pumps with general transfer ability of centrifugals; pumps thin or viscous liquids and can handle more solids in suspension than other types of rotary pumps.
- Operating flexibility: Can operate at low or high speeds and can be mounted at any angle.
- Inlet/discharge guidance: Inlet plumbing should minimize vacuum at the pump inlet when operating at or near maximum speed; intake system should be free of obstructions.
