Vetus CANVPS 12V V-CAN Power Supply with Integrated Safety Protection
The Vetus CANVPS is an advanced 12V power supply engineered to increase the safety, stability and reliability of V-CAN installations. Designed as the replacement for the BPCABCPC, it provides a safeguarded power input that protects the V-CAN network and all connected nodes against connection errors, overcurrent, overvoltage and reverse polarity. This ensures secure and continuous operation of the entire communication line.
The CANVPS offers full installation flexibility and may be positioned at the beginning, middle or end of the V-CAN line. This adaptability allows the unit to integrate seamlessly into different vessel layouts without compromising performance. To maintain proper network behaviour, each V-CAN line must contain only one 12V power supply and must be terminated at both ends with V-CAN terminating resistors (CANVT). For V-CAN installations longer than 40 meters, a CANrepeater (CANR) is required to preserve signal integrity.
