The Vetus COMFL1325 Combiflex 13 Flexible Coupling combines the best attributes of the renowned UNIFLEX and BULLFLEX couplings into one advanced design that provides optimal vibration damping and easy installation. Engineered for precision, safety, and performance, it ensures a quiet, backlash-free transmission between the propulsion engine and the propeller shaft.
This coupling’s rubber damping element absorbs torsional vibrations and cyclical irregularities at low revolutions, greatly reducing noise and mechanical stress. Its robust design is secured against both axial and radial shear, ensuring reliable torque transmission in all operating conditions. Even with shaft misalignment of up to 2°, the system remains perfectly centered on the gearbox flange.
The parallel clamping hub design simplifies both installation and maintenance. Unlike tapered hubs, it requires no keyway machining or tapering—simply cut the shaft to the correct length, deburr, clean, and secure the coupling. The 4” standard flange fits most common gearbox types directly, while special adapter flanges are available for Volvo, Yanmar, and Kanzaki transmissions.
