The Vetus UNIFLEX Flexible Coupling is designed to address the challenge of precise shaft alignment in marine propulsion systems. Its key feature is the ability to accommodate up to a 2° misalignment in the shaft line, ensuring flexibility and preventing stress on the system. This coupling effectively dampens axial and radial vibrations, providing a smoother and quieter operation. It creates a flexible connection between the shaft and gearbox, making it ideal for situations where perfect alignment may be difficult to achieve. However, this coupling is not suitable for use with V-Drives. The maximum allowable shaft RPM for these couplings is 1500 RPM when the shaft line is broken by 2°.
