The Plastimo P205746 battery isolator is a high-performance 220A MOSFET charge splitter designed to safely and efficiently charge up to three batteries from a single alternator. Thanks to advanced MOSFET technology, it allows simultaneous charging without electrically connecting the batteries together, ensuring that discharging the service battery will never drain the starter battery.
Unlike traditional diode splitters, this isolator guarantees virtually no voltage drop between the input and outputs. This means the alternator output voltage does not need to be increased, preserving optimal charging performance and protecting onboard electrical systems.
Compatible with both 12V and 24V DC systems, the unit is also suitable for LiFePO4 (lithium) batteries, making it ideal for modern marine and automotive electrical installations. The integrated IG (ignition) input ensures alternator activation on systems that require a DC signal to begin charging.
Designed as a direct replacement for previous RCE models, the RCE+ can be installed without any system modification, providing an easy upgrade path.
