Multifunctional inverters Quattro with intelligent control, pure sinusoid at the output have a complex charger with adaptive battery charging technology and fast AC transfer relays for two AC inputs. This series has a VE.Bus information bus and allows operation in both 3-phase and parallel configurations. From 3kVA to 10kVA, inverters can be used in a wide range of applications.
Limit AC power consumption by automatically lowering battery charging current.
Quattro inverters, having a sufficiently powerful charger, can be a heavy load for an AC source (network, onshore connection, generator unit). To prevent overloading of the AC power source, Quattro will use only the excess AC power to charge the batteries according to the AC power consumption limit settings.
PowerAssist Features
Assistance to the input AC source by mixing energy from the batteries. This function is used to cover peak loads on the AC source for a limited period of time (before the battery bank is discharged). According to the input current limit setting parameter, the inverter determines that the power of the input source is insufficient and immediately compensates for this disadvantage by adding power from the batteries. When load power consumption decreases, excessive input power will be used to charge the batteries.
Frequency Shift - Frequency Shift
If the solar inverter is connected to the Quattro output, then the excess generated by the solar inverter will be used to recharge the batteries. After charging the batteries and in the absence of load, Quattro will turn off the solar inverter, shifting the frequency by 1Hz (set). As soon as the voltage on the battery bank becomes below a certain level, the frequency returns to normal and the solar inverter is rebooted. The power of the solar inverter connected to the Quattro output is limited by the nominal power of the Quattro itself.
Parallel and three-phase configurations
Up to 10 inverters can operate in parallel to achieve higher output power in phase. Operation in 3-phase configuration is also possible (maximum configuration: 10 inverters in parallel in each phase).
Automatic transfer relay and auxiliary output
In the event of an accident in the network, the inverter automatically switches to the mode of operation from the batteries and, after the network is restored, automatically switches to the mode of live transmission of the network voltage to consumers. Switching occurs in less than 20ms, so the electronic equipment continues to work smoothly. When the UPS function is activated, the inverter switches to the operation mode from the battery practically without delay. This series of inverters has an auxiliary non-redundant AC output for secondary loads.
Two AC inputs (AC1 and AC2) with built-in switch
The Quattro can be connected to two independent AC sources, such as an industrial grid and an electric generator. Quattro will automatically connect to the active AC sources (priority AC1).
Two Power Saving Modes
In load search mode, the inverter no-load current is reduced by 70% of the rated current. In this mode, the inverter is turned off and turned on every two seconds for a short period of time to determine the load. In the AES mode, the idle current is reduced by 20% of the rated current (the inverter is constantly operating). AES mode can only be set using VEConfigure.
Programmable Relay Quattro inverters are equipped with three programmable relays that can be programmed for a large variety of events, such as starting a generator set (default alarm relay). Settings are only possible with the software (see Software).
Two programmable analog/digital I/O ports
Quattro inverters are equipped with two I/O ports (analog/digital). These ports can be used for a variety of purposes. One use is to communicate with BMS from a lithium-ion battery.
Built-in Charger
Highly efficient with many programmable parameters, a 4-step charger with adaptive charging technology taking into account various types of batteries optimizes the battery charging process. Using the temperature sensor (included), the charge voltage is corrected depending on the battery temperature. Inverters have a separate input for sensor sensing of battery voltage to determine cable voltage drop compensation at high charge currents.
Inverter Setup and System Configuration
Tinctures of small three-phase and parallel systems (up to 3 inverters in the system), as well as a separate inverter, can be produced using DIP switches or the Blue Power Control GX control panel. Systems with whiter than three inverters, as well as settings for all inverter parameters (Virtual Switch or Assistants, relays), require software, RJ45 UTP cable and MK2-USB interface (see: Software).
