Vetus PD1000 Petrol Vapour & Carbon Monoxide Detector 12/24V with Combined Sensor
The Vetus PD1000 is a marine-grade detection system engineered specifically to monitor petrol vapour levels in engine rooms—reducing the risk of explosion—as well as to detect dangerous concentrations of carbon monoxide (CO). Supplied with a combined sensor capable of performing both detection functions simultaneously, the PD1000 provides continuous safety monitoring for vessels fitted with petrol engines or environments where petrol fumes may accumulate.
Sharing the same operational features as the GD1000 model, the PD1000 integrates acoustic and visual alarms, test functionality, and three switched 1 A relay outputs for controlling an extraction ventilator, external alarm, or a gas solenoid valve (if installed). The sensor includes a long cable for flexible installation, and the control panel employs clear LED indicators for status and alarm conditions. The unit supports one or two sensors, allowing monitoring of additional locations on board.
Designed for both 12 V and 24 V DC systems, the PD1000 is built for continuous operation and should remain powered at all times to ensure effective protection against explosive petrol vapour and carbon monoxide hazards.
