Clamcleat CL718 is a small alloy insert cleat designed for ropes from 2 to 4 mm (1/16–5/32").
The cleat is intended to be insert-moulded into a plastic fitting, combining the strength of an alloy cleat with the lower cost of a moulded component.
The CL718 is smaller and lighter than the CL712, CL718 is the alloy cleat used in the CL267 Sail Edge Cleat.
Its compact design allows the cleat to be positioned close to where the rope passes through the fitting. This reduces the cleating angle and minimises the space required within the assembly.
