Optiparts EX2058Y is a lightweight DB-Racing mainsheet engineered for Laser® and ILCA® dinghies, offering responsive handling and reduced rope tangling during mainsheet trimming in both training and racing conditions.
The rope uses a double-braided construction with a light high-stretch multifilament polypropylene inner core and a durable braided polyester outer cover. In this design, the outer braided sheath carries the primary load rather than the inner core, improving dimensional stability and minimizing twisting or knotting during fast sheet movements.
The reduced 6 mm diameter provides lighter handling and faster running through blocks, making it suitable for sailors preferring lower sheet weight and quicker sheet response. The 13.5 meter length matches standard Laser® / ILCA® mainsheet requirements, while the bright yellow color improves visibility on deck.
With a breaking load of 620 kg, the EX2058Y delivers dependable strength for regular club sailing, coaching fleets, and recreational racing use.
