Optiparts EX2058RD is a high-performance DB-Racing mainsheet designed specifically for Laser® and ILCA® dinghies, optimized for smooth mainsheet trimming, reduced tangling, and stable load handling in racing and training conditions.
This mainsheet features a double-braided rope construction consisting of a light high-stretch multifilament polypropylene inner core combined with a durable braided polyester outer cover. Unlike conventional rope designs, the outer braided cover acts as the primary load-bearing structure, improving dimensional stability and reducing line twist and tangling during fast trimming maneuvers.
The 7 mm diameter provides an excellent balance between grip comfort and block compatibility, while the 13.5 meter length matches standard Laser® / ILCA® mainsheet rigging requirements. Its red color offers high onboard visibility for fast handling and easy identification.
With a breaking load of 840 kg, this mainsheet is suitable for demanding everyday sailing, training fleets, and club racing environments.
