Optiparts EX1218 is a buoyancy bag designed for Optimist sailboats, offering increased flotation capacity to improve recovery and reduce water ingress after capsize. With a 48-liter volume, it provides enhanced buoyancy compared to smaller alternatives.
Constructed from polyurethane-coated nylon, this buoyancy bag is significantly stronger and approximately half the weight of traditional PVC or PVC-coated bags, ensuring durability and improved handling.
This version is equipped with a twist lock tube valve, allowing quick and convenient inflation and deflation. The valve system simplifies operation and enables easy pressure adjustment.
The 48-liter capacity results in slightly higher weight compared to 43-liter models but significantly improves post-capsize performance by keeping more water out of the hull.
