Yacht Devices YDTA-04 Tank Adapter NMEA 2000 Micro Male, 4 x Tanks
The Yacht Devices YDTA-04 Tank Adapter enables connection of up to four existing resistive or voltage type fluid level sensors installed on tanks to NMEA 2000 devices, including chart plotters. This allows for accurate fluid level monitoring and display.
Comprehensive Fluid Type Support
The adapter can be configured to report one of the seven fluid types defined in the NMEA 2000 standard: Diesel Fuel, Gasoline Fuel, Oil, Fresh Water, Waste Water, Black Water (Sewage), or Live Well. It supports configuration for up to 16 tanks of the same type within an NMEA 2000 network.
Flexible Compatibility
The YDTA-04 is compatible with European (10 to 180 Ohm range), American (240 to 33 Ohm range), and Japanese (0 to 310 Ohm range) standard fluid level sensors, as well as any nonstandard sensors with a maximum resistance of less than 400 Ohm. It also supports fluid level sensors that output an analog voltage signal within the range of 0 to 16 Volts.
Installation and Integration
The adapter can be installed as a standalone measuring device, in parallel with an existing analog gauge (supports both 2-coil and 1-coil gauges), or in parallel with a Volvo Penta engine's MDI box. It works smoothly with combined gauges where values are chosen using a button. Each of the four measuring channels of the device can have individual settings, and fluid tank level sensor readings can be calibrated with up to 12 calibration points to ensure accuracy regardless of tank shape.
Advanced Configuration
The device is equipped with a hidden button allowing switching among 15 configuration presets. For advanced configuration, including calibration curves and digital switching functions, a NMEA 2000 PC gateway or MFD that allows editing installation description strings is required. Firmware updates are available only with Yacht Devices gateways (Wi-Fi, USB, or Ethernet).
Enhanced Functionality
In its settings, you can join several tanks to calculate "Estimated Fuel Remaining" data accurately for PGN 127496 "Trip Fuel Consumption, Vessel," displaying the total fuel volume in selected tanks. The adapter can also control load channels of NMEA 2000 digital switching equipment, setting up to eight different conditions for each measuring channel. This functionality allows the adapter to turn digital switching equipment on or off, activate alarms, or control pumps.
