The 50 mm objectives include Fully Multi-Coated (FMC) optics with Ruby anti-reflective behavior for glare control on reflected water light. The BaK-4 prism glass class minimizes internal reflective loss and maximizes contrast in spray, overcast, dusk and twilight lanes. Nitrogen-filled sealed barrels (N₂, fog-free optics) prevent internal fogging during humidity and temperature shifts. Both objective and ocular lenses include a hydrophobic “lotus-effect” coating that forces droplets to bead off with no adhesion, ensuring stable clarity under heavy spray and rain.
