At Yacht Supply 24, we supply a range of Kobelt products, including steering systems, control systems, engine controls, clutches and brakes, as well as alarm and monitoring systems for marine vessels. Whether you're in need of reliable marine components for recreational or commercial applications, Kobelt's precision-engineered products are trusted by professionals around the world.
Kobelt has its origins in a garage in Vancouver, where Jack Kobelt began designing, manufacturing and assembling products and components in 1962. 50 years later, Kobelt has a vertically integrated factory a few blocks away that is capable of casting parts in an automated foundry, processing parts on an array of CNC machinery and assembling sophisticated products and systems of all shapes and sizes. Starting in the 2000s, Kobelt focused on expanding the electronic control system line by creating the Mighty Mariner; a propulsion control system that includes microprocessors, actuators & indicators that allowed for ease of installation & configuration. New, more sophisticated electronic control heads were produced that included LED panels with enhanced displays and functionality. Using the company’s pedigree of durable, dependable products as the foundation for success, Kobelt now stands ready to build the next generation of products.

1-2 weeks delivery time Price incl. 19% VAT 5025 The brake caliper is designed to input high energy applications with average moment requirements. It is designed to match the 4 x 7 disc series. This disc offers excellent thermal capabilities and is ideal for marine and industrial applications requiring high energy consumption over long periods of time, such as tension brakes for winches, small hoods, equipment anchors, etc. Due to its large braking area, the caliper offers many hours of work before a lining change is required. Diaphragm drive is sensitive to fluid pressure change. Maximum drive feed pressure shall not exceed 100 psi (6.9 bar). |

This disc can withstand high thermal friction and is ideal for marine and industrial applications requiring high energy consumption over long periods of time, such as tension brakes for winches, small winches, equipment anchors, etc. Due to its large braking area, the caliper offers many hours of operation before a lining change is required. The diaphragm actuator responds to changes in fluid pressure. |

1-2 weeks delivery time Price incl. 19% VAT The brake drive, which is used on medium and heavy trucks, has two functions. The upper housing has a spring that causes the drive rod to drop down, pushing the wedge against the rollers and pressing the brake pedal. Air pressure is required to overcome spring pressure. If there is no air pressure on the actuator, the upper part of the brake turns on, providing emergency braking. The lower part of the drive is the diaphragm, which also pushes the rod down and presses the brakes proportionally. A very light return spring pushes the wedge upwards to release the brake. The upper spring can only provide up to 60% of the braking force. The wedge mechanism consists of a wedge and rollers that push the levers away from each other to put pressure on the brake disc and give a very accurate brake torque control. |

Like all calipers, it is patented, and the patent is granted specifically for functions such as balancing, adjusting gaskets to meet all the wishes of demanding customers. Its compact design does not affect its properties. It's made very powerful for its size. Even a 1/10 psi change in air pressure will make a noticeable difference in braking torque. The maximum feed pressure to the caliper should not exceed 100 psi (6.9 bar). |

1-2 weeks delivery time Price incl. 19% VAT The 5027 spring model is equipped with an actuator requiring fluid pressure to release the internal springs. The higher the pressure that builds up in the drive, the lower the torque. The drive itself is extremely responsive and will give endless brake torque control. Adjustments to the actuator are provided to compensate for lining wear. The smaller the gap between the brake shoe and the disc, the higher the maximum torque. In applications where constant resistance is required, a large area will eliminate frequent lining replacements. All castings are made of silicon and bronze, as are all hardware. The pins and bolts are made of stainless steel. Even in the most severe conditions, this caliper will give years of trouble-free service. |

1-2 weeks delivery time Price incl. 19% VAT 5028-CM brakes are operated in heavy industrial conditions, equipped with a bifunctional brake drive, which can provide reliability and accuracy in any braking. In the upper chamber of the drive, the air pressure necessary to overcome the spring pressure is created. In the absence of air pressure, the spring will provide the necessary force for emergency braking. The upper spring can provide only more than half of the braking force. The lower part is dominated by increased air pressure on the diaphragm with a light spring for normal braking. The combination of these mechanisms leads to sensitive and accurate operation of the braking system. The wedge mechanism consists of a wedge and rollers that push the levers from each other, thus, using pressure on the brake disc, a very accurate brake torque control is created. |

1-2 weeks delivery time Price incl. 19% VAT The 5040-A model uses a pneumatic system. The pressure regulator can be adjusted to provide the caliper with the required torque. Two air mechanisms consisting of a double diaphragm system provide the same force for each brake shoe when air pressure is applied. The action of the compression spring returns the meter to the off position when the air pressure is turned off. It takes a tractive effort of 5,400 pounds to drive a wedge between the two arms. In other words, pressing the brake. |
