The Vetus SDKIT185 extension kit is intended for stern thruster installations where standard positioning places tunnel openings too close to the waterline. To avoid air intake and subsequent thrust loss, the kit extends both tunnel ends deeper below the surface. It also improves water flow when other transom-mounted systems obstruct the thruster’s intake. The set contains two GRP shells and stainless steel (AISI 316) fastening components for reliable retrofit installation in various marine environments.
